Ways to order your repeat prescription
Allow 2 working days for us to process your prescription. Remember to take into account weekends and bank holidays.
There are 4 options for ordering your repeat prescription:

Nominating a pharmacy
You will need to choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription from. We call this nominating a pharmacy.
You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:
- Online, on the NHS App or SystmOnline website where you order repeat prescriptions
- In person
- Over the telephone
- At any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions

Questions about your prescription
If you have questions about your medicine or your prescription please contact the surgery.
Your local pharmacists can also answer any questions about your prescription. They can answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.

You can follow the link below to find a pharmacy near you. Pharmacists are qualified healthcare professionals who can offer advice on minor illnesses such as
- Coughs
- Colds
- Sore throat
- Tummy trouble
- Aches and pains
They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription. Many pharmacies are open until late and at weekends. You do not need an appointment. Most pharmacies have a private consultation room where you can discuss issues with pharnacy staff in privacy.

If you get regular or repeat prescriptions, you could save time by switching to electronic Repeat Dispensing (eRD).

If you get regular prescriptions the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) may be able to save you time and trips to your GP.

Emergency Prescriptions
The Practice no longer provides emergency prescriptions. We kindly request you do not ask staff to issue an emergency prescription as all staff have been advised to decline the request.
Normal procedure of allowing two working days for prescriptions to be processed by the Practice will be followed.
If you are running low on medication, please contact 111 and ask if they can provide an emergency supply until your prescription has been processed.
SystmOnline
SystmOne is the clinical system that we use at the Surgery which enables you to order prescriptions in a much easier way. Each patient will be given a username and password to access this system. Please contact the Surgery for more information.
Before you can use this service you will need to come into the surgery with photographic ID (e.g. passport) to get your username and password.

What to do with old medicines
Take it to the pharmacy you got it from or bring it in to the surgery. Do not put it in your household bin or flush it down the toilet.
